How to employ a Ukrainian citizen who arrived in Poland after February 24?
Under the law "On assistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict," Ukrainian citizens have free access to the labor market. The employer must employ the Ukrainian citizen and, within 14 days of employment, notify the Employment Office (Urząd Pracy) of the Ukrainian citizen's employment.
A foreigner has a work permit issued for a different company. Can this foreigner be employed?
Unfortunately, no. It is necessary to submit documents for issuing a work permit for the company where the foreigner will actually work, and only after this permit has been issued can the foreigner be employed.
